Waterford Youth Training and Education Centre

About this location

WYTEC was founded in 1984. A group of Waterford City people from a range of backgrounds approached the local Youth Employment Agency with a proposal to establish a community training workshop to cater for the needs of identified disadvantaged young people in the Waterford area.

From an initial intake of thirty that community workshop has now grown into an 86 place centre. By 2016, the renamed workshop, now WYTEC, has seen over 2,900 young people successfully
pass through its training and education programmes.
